i live in Massachusetts and i had planed to move to davenport, fl i was told the house needed 2 to 3 hundred dollars in light repairs. i was told the roof had a small leak and the wall inside with water damage needed to be repaired, and the last tenants left the place dirty and it smelled so it would need to be cleaned before i could move in. i was sent an as is lease by email i signed it and faxed it back. i put 2 months rent and security deposit. i never got his signature on the lease, and i sent him an email to let him know when i would be at the house. I arrived to find a house that was beyond condemned. the roof needed to be replaced, windows were broken out, the ceilings, and walls were falling down, the floors were rotten and i thought i was going to fall through, and the house was being held off the ground with cement blocks. they were not secured to the house at all and there were no support beams under the home to support the floors. and the landlord was no where to be found. i called him and he said he was on vacation and would be back in town the fallowing week. i asked if he had been to the house recently to see the condition of the house. he told me he had and when i told him everything that needed to be done he made light of it telling me to half *** the repairs with plexiglass and plywood. i demanded my money back. first he told me he would return the money when he got back into town. that week came and went so i emailed him again and he told me he didn't have to give me anything back because i backed out of the rental agreement. can he do this even though he flat out lied to me about the condition of the house and he never signed the copy of the lease i have or wasn't there to give me the keys and hand over possession of the house?

I'm going to Kent State University. My EFC is above my 'financial need'. All that I expect to get is a parent PLUS loan. The school won't even tell me whether I have any scholarships or anything pending if I turn in my parents W-2s and tax returns. I don't think they have the right to ask for this stuff considering the circumstances. It's really none of their business what my parents spend their money on. Considering the universe is infinitely expanding, then that would technically mean that every possible outcome has or will happen? For example, take some random franchise, say, Star Wars. If there is an infinite amount of space in the universe, doesn't that mean that at some point, there will be a galaxy that has the exact same events of the Star Wars galaxy? Now, I know that the Force cannot exist, but once again, as the universe is infinitely expanding, maybe Midi-chlorians just don't exist around our point in the universe. Now, Star Wars isn't the only example. There could be a galaxy that has the exact same events going on that we have. Maybe at some point in time, or maybe even now, there is another being typing the exact same question out to that planet's version of Yahoo Answers. Does this actually have some scientific merit? This character is a general of an army in my story, but later resigns. PS3 freezing problem?

So I was playing Black Ops just a few minutes ago on campaign, and so the game just froze. I'm not sure but it seems like you're trying to gain weight. If you're trying to gain weight/muscle, then you'll need to hit the gym. Just eating yourself to gain weight and you don't exercise, you will gain fat, no matter how healthy the food you're eating is, no matter how little dressing or how healthy the food may seem, you will gain the fat. When you gain weight, you want to gain weight in the form of muscle and that'll require exercise and weights, no other way around it. However if you're trying to lose weight, then Eat 500 calories more than you do now. Workout 1 different body part a day 5 days a week, 3-5 different exercises per body part, 3 sets of 8-10 reps per exercise. Make sure you're gaining 1-2 pounds a week, if you're gaining more, cut your calories a bit. Eat 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight at least. Rest can be fats and carbs.

If you wrote a completely amazing essay & applied to Cornell Early Decision then its possible. MIT, no, Stanford I would be surprised. Your ACT kinda saves your low GPA for those types of schools. I think you have a pretty good chance at Illinois, Wash., & UNC. Carnegie Mellon you might but Texas-Austin would also be kinda a stretch because of the amount they accept out-of-state. If your talking about USC as in South Carolina then yes but I'm almost positive your not haha but Southern Cal might also be a stretch, not sure. You should be fine though with your choices.

Today my step father yelled at me over a merit badge project i am doing for boy scouts. First of all it was, only a segment of the merit badge requirements and he didn't even read what the requirement was. I did it accordingly but he still insists that i did it wrong, WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING AT WHAT THE REQUIREMENT WAS! He yelled at me for a pretty long time and started saying stuff like, "I could get you up at eight o'clock in the morning and make you work all damn day!" and "You're going to have to start buying your own damn food and clothes! When school comes around you're gonna be buying anything that you wanna wear!". I never tried to provoke any of this, when i showed him my project and told him to read it (which i probably should have asked him to read it.) he flung it away and said "Don't ever throw **** at my face again." I didn't even throw it at his face, i put it on the counter in front of him. I did slam it down but it was at least two feet away from him. I've never really had problems with him before, as long as i stay quiet and do what he says i'm ok. Maybe it was the fact that he's never been so aggressive towards me that made me so comfortable doing what i did. Needless to say though, it scared the **** out of me. Luckily my mom came when she did because it was just getting worse and worse. I've always done what he said because he puts clothes on my back and food on the table, but now he's threatening to deprive me of that. I don't know what to do at this point. I never liked being in boy scouts anyway so i might try and convince my mom to let me quit. If i had never tried to do this merit badge none of this would have happened. Not sure why you think "horrifically bad" but I got the picture. The purpose of telling a story, be it fiction or non, is to communicate a thought or idea. I thought it was very descriptive of the details and created a scenario I could see in my head and almost experience with my senses. You gave enough detail but did not overdue it to the extent of boredom. When people read fiction they want the experience of feeling like they are there. Just keep finding descriptions of detail that triggers the readers senses. Like right now I am thinking of chocolate! I can see it, smell it and taste it though I have not even bought it yet:) Just keep in mind it is easier to make the reader experience something they have actually experienced. When it comes to something less common, pay special attention to the key details to make it come alive. Your little excerpt here scores an A+ in my book!!

I am a rising senior in high school, and I play volleyball. I have been looking at playing somewhere in college, and have had a couple offers for full rides at division 1 schools. These schools are pretty good academically, and they are overall nice. However, I have also been talking to ivy league schools, and many of them are interested. I have the grades and scores to get in. But ivy leagues don't give any kind of merit or athletic scholarships. Do you think that the education I would receive there is worth not getting a full ride? We can afford to pay, but it would be nice not to have to worry about paying for college. Do you have windows 7, because u have to install the drivers "manually" if you do. This is because Hercules hasn't come out with drivers for Windows 7 yet. I'm pretty sure you have to go to Control Panel, then sounds and audio devices, the click the Hardware tab, find your device click properties, then hit the Drivers tab and then hit update drivers. You have to know where the drivers are on you computer because then you click on "from a specific location." Help! broken iPhone Screen!?

I had dropped my iPhone on tile, and the screen cracked, not only that but now theres this grey blob on the screen and it covers up the bottom corner of it. When you look very closely at the screen there is a crack not on the glass of the screen but inside?? well the crack starts from the corner where the blob is all the way to the middle of my screen. every day the blob gets like 6 very small dots and then as soon as you know it, it becomes a grey line and the blob gets bigger. will it keep growing? it seems to be fallowing the crack/scratch thats behind the glass part of the iphone.
