What does it mean to have dreams about your ex boyfriend everynight?

OK, you see, I've been having dreams about him...well, since i met him, but they weren't as frequent. i had dreams about him here and there when he and i were dating, and then the when i would wake up and go to school he wouldn't be there. that was every time i dreamed about him while he and i were together, but now i have a problem. he broke up with me on my b-day (11/23)and its every night that i dream about him... i have a new boy friend and all...so i don't understand why i'm dreaming about him. most the dreams i have is just of him fallowing me around in school....but last night...really scared me.... in my dream, he got me alone and held me. i don't remember what he said...but all i do remember is that i really enjoyed it. its almost like i'm longing for him when i'm not. i really need help understanding why i'm dreaming this.
